Who created the Universe and all that it contains, and how was it done?
Genesis Chapter One makes it clear that the Creator is Elohim. Elohim is a uni-plural noun implying a unified plurality. It has within its unified plurality the basis of our understanding for a
Tri-Un God. The Tri-Un God, the Godhead, the Trinity, God in three persons are all ways in which we try to understand the great mystery Elohim. The Godhead had within themselves a master plan to expand beyond the spiritual realm into the physical realm. All three persons of the Trinity played a part in the creation of the Universe.
In verse one we read that Elohim created the heaven and the earth. I verse two we read that the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Finally, in verse three we read And God said, God spoke the Word. All three persons were present and active in the creation of earth and the universe.
John Chapter One verses 1-3 tells us, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."
Who created the Universe and all that contains? God the Father, God the Son (Word) and God the Holy Spirit.
How was it done? I really don't know, but I bet that it cause one big bang.
In physics, energy is the quantitative property that is transferred to a body or to a physical system, recognizable in the performance of work and in the form of heat and light. Energy is never created or destroyed, although under action of a force it can change in form. Therefore, the idea of conservation of energy always applies. Wikipedia gives a good definition of energy, but even this is more than we need.
I want for you to look at the idea of energy never being destroyed. If you look at the picture above you will see a whole bunch of white dots, which are stars. Every star in the universe is energy, and even though they burn themselves out and "die" that energy is never lost. Imagine, if you will, that nothing existed in the physical realm. Then God acted and all the energy of the Universe exploded into being. All the energy of the Universe was created one time in one split second. Mankind can never fully understand the magnitude of that explosive creation. Talk about one Big Bang!
